Objectives: To assist Parents and Carers in nurturing and stabilizing their relationships, examining behavioural and emotional reactions, and recognizing the effects of past experiences on both themselves and the young person. To empower Parents and Carers to enhance their understanding of the emotional, social, physical, and psychological needs of the children they support. To foster the unique qualities of their young people and boost their confidence, skills, talents, and resilience.

 

TREASURE Parenting Consultation & Therapy Intervention Typical Annual Number of sessions: 12-26 (Virtual or Site Delivery)

 

Parenting consultation sessions provide Parents and Carers with insights into effective parenting through our TREASURE  model, which is sensitive to trauma.

 

The therapeutic parenting strategies are based on the Treasure Keepers specialised model, designed to improve parenting techniques and promote healthier relationships and well-being within the family or placement.

 

Families will benefit from a specialised assessment before starting the intervention.

 

Sessions are typically scheduled every two weeks over the course of one year (26 sessions).
